BMW 6-Series GT Facelift | 630d M Sport Is Fab

 Hii guys and welcome to another blog,

Today I'm talking about BMW 6-series GT, this is the face-lifted model, this is the G32  LCI , this is the 630d Grand Turismo. First lets start with the key of the car, it gets 2 keys one a normal key with M colors as its a M sport and another has touch screen where you need to swipe up, and can set the temperature, check the range and quite a lot of stuff and it also supports remote parking too. 

But if you are in hurry let me tell you what all is changes in the car, so 5 things has changes; new grill, new headlights, at rear new tail lights, new bumper and new shape for exhaust. If that's all you wanted to know then you can shift to the interior part of the review.

Lets start with the walk around of the car 

Firstly the grill is new it gets chrome surrounds around with camera at the middle and the grill does opens and close when the car feels for air for better aerodynamics. Looking at the lights these are the BMW laser lights gets matrix and what not, with BMW Laser written on them that's the kind of attention to detail is on offer with BMW and also the light gets Blue ting inside making it looks absolutely stellar at night, also these light gets L-shaped DRLs which bi-functions as indicators as well. Infact the lights are so fab that they can sense and throw lights upto 650 meters and the illumination is so good that it doesn't need fog lamps, also the lights steers with the steering angle of the tires that's another cool feature of the lights itself. 

Talking about bumper it sharp cuts and creases all through out, the car gets front parking sensors and a parking camera too for 360° view and the car looks stunning from the front. 

Anyways coming to the side of the car, this is the long wheel base of 6-series in India because BMW doesn't want the 5-series to compare with the E-class, they want the 6-series to compare with the E-class and since the E-class in the Indian markets is a LWB model so the 6-series also got the LWB models to rival the E-class. 

These car gets beautiful 19 inches wheels or you can opt for 21 inches if you so wish, M colored brake calipers says M on them. You got the camera under the ORVMs which also gets puddle lamps too. 

Coming to the rear, the lights are new on this car, you got rear parking sensors, trapazoidal exhaust tips on both the side along with a new bumper too. the rear tail gate gets retractable integrated rear spoiler, you got a camera too with 630d written at the side and says GT from another side. But it looks quite heavy from the rear the back, however being a lift back like the superb and the octavia this got a massive 600 liters of boot with the spare wheel kept on the top, however the spare wheel is a space saver and is a steel rim so cost cutting done there. You can actually increase the boot carrying capacity by folding the seats into 60:40 format. The boot also got electric tail gate release and 12-volt charging socket with a light and with the car's manual and a first aid kit. So boot is very practical in that front.

Lets get inside straight away into the rear seat, the doors open wide enough the doors gets soft door close and the quality of the material used is also fab. Doors get big pockets with bottle holders and place to keep other stuff. The arm rest of the door gets soft cussions with controls for windows and sun blinds for both the rear windows and with blinds for rear windscreen. The seat quality is superb with soft head rest it also has electrically adjust which BTW reclines 9° where in E-class it does more. It got center arm rest with storage space and a screen to control various stuff in the car. This car gets frame-less doors make it looks supper sexy and it got Harmon Cardon sound system with twin 10.3 inch screens behind both the driver and co-driver sets. Gloss up with a BMW sideslow, opens up with car which shows media, car, settings , maps...etc etc which is also there in the front screen as well. 

The rear passengers get separate 2 zones climate control air conditioning with AC vents on the center and on the B-pillar. Also there is a CD changer with AUX input and USB C-charging sockets with 12-volt charging sockets as well. 

Getting to the front seats, first and for most the driver and co-driver seats gets electric adjust with lamber as well  and an adjust to increase under thigh support but the driver seat gets memory function only. Front seats also gets soft pillows not as soft as in the rear, seats are very supportive and hugs you very comfortably. The paddle area is also finished in metallic, the central console gets wood treatment which enables wireless charging pad with twin cup holders and two USB C-charging port, behind that we got the gear selector with electric parking brake and auto-hold function, on the other side there is a dial for i-drive controler and different buttons for different drive modes like eco, comfort, sports and sports+ with buttons for rear spoiler, traction control, park assist and 360° parking camera. 

The overall cabin ambience is super duper awesome, now the glove box is of smaller size but is cooled, plastic is not hard everything inside is super premium in touch and refreshing as well. The mirror is frameless and has auto diming function with controls for light and sun roof, the sun roof is a panoramic one not that big as the car is like a fast back and has a sloping roof line, but of decent size. The sun visors got mirrors with a light on both the sides. Below the center arm rest there is storage with 2 USB C- charging ports along with a light as well. There is also a button to increase or decrease ride hide of the car by 20 mm which BTW drops at a speed of 35 Km/h and further drops at a speed of 120 Km/h. Now the car gets a 4 zone climate control AC 2 zones for the front and 2 zone for the rear. And there are controls for audio system and beside that there is the push start stop with auto on/off button. 

The screen is fantastic in the way it looks and works, it is a 12.3 inch unit and can do a multitude of the things with 11 ambient light colors with is less as mercedes is offering 64 color options. However its got automatic headlights automatic wipers and electric adjust for the steering wheel with heated function which is useless in India. Steering got controls for telephone and media for both the infotainment as well as the drivers information display, The drivers information display shows speedometer in the left and tachometer at the right, in the middle there are various information through which you can toggle through and it says real time furl economy, how much range is left, travel time, maps and what not. 

Drive train options

The 6 Series GT is offered in three variants in India. These include a 258hp, 2.0-litre petrol in the 630i; a 190hp, 2.0-litre diesel in the 620d; and a 265hp, 3.0-litre diesel in the 630d. Its price ranges from Rs 64.90 lakh to 75.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

Conclusion

This is the one of the best drivers as well you can just sit in the rear seat and have your meetings. This is the best of both the worlds but if you need more comfort not like driving much then Audi A4 and Mercedes E-class is waiting for.

All New 5| BMW 5-Series M sport | Looks Stunning

Hii guys and welcome to another blog.

This is the all new BMW 5-series, this is the G30 LCI , face-lifted version and this is the 7th generation of 5 series this is the 530i M sport. If you are in hurry then there are major updates i.e. it got new grill which opens and closes when it needs air, new sleeker headlamps, new alloy designs, new rear tail lamps and minor updates in rear bumper, trapazoidal exhaust and on interior front new and bigger screen that's it. Little changes LCI but we still go through it.

This is the M sport so it has M colors right there, it got smart key and it is a wireless charging key with which we can look/unlock the car and open trunk and a lot of functions like remote parking , auto engine o/off for AC which says set the temparature, it salso says distance to empty...etc etc

Looks 

As this is the M sport it gets chrome surround around the grill and the grill BTW opens and closes to ensure for great aerodynamic efficiency, it got a camera upfront for 360° view. In fact the CD  of this car is best in the segment. Bumper is really aggressive it got space lower down for breathing and it got air inlets that outlets air inside wheel arches to reduce wind turbulence again Aerodynamics my friend. And it got BMW laser lights L shaped DRLs with blue ting inside, the lights gets the matrix function and can throw lights upto 650 meters, they look lovely and lit's up every thing in night. Infact the lights are so advance, in-case someone is ahead of it, then it will automatically shifts to lowbeam and allows other people to travel comfortably. All that happen with sensors and cameras placed in top of the wind shield.

The hood is long, this car is slightly under 5-meters in length and slightly under 3-meter in wheel base absolutely right proportions for sedan, The wheels are 18-inches M whels, it gets M color brake calipers. The front tires are 245 45 / 18 not really low profile. 

M batching on the fenders with functional air vents again aerodynamics for reducing drag. Ground cleararce is low, overall proportions and cuts and creases everything fantastic. And in night it projects light from the door handles and it got a camera under the each ORVM for park assist. gets gloss black finishing around the window line and a sun roof at the top with the shark fin antena, the typical BMW affair. 

The rear tail light says BMW inside and the rear tire is actually bigger in size because rear wheel drive; 275 40 /18 wheels are lovely and same wih brake calipers. Again the car actually looks like bigger 3-from the front same from the rear as well where we get new re-profiled lights L shaped and a rear fog lamp as well, should have got dynamic swipe for indicators. 530i is the name of the variant, rear parking camera, parking sensors and trapazoidal exhaust tips with reflectors above that. 

Car looks fantastic from every given angle, really what a design, what a beauty. 

Interiors front,

Starting with the boot, the tail gate gets auto release, now globally the 530i  has 530 liters of boot space but in India is lesser because it gets a spare wheel which is a space saver and nither an alloy. The size of the tire is 135 60 /18. there is space on both the sides, first aid kit what not but coz of spare wheel the boot carring capacity is nearly about 400 liters and you can lock the car from there itself if you so wish

Lets get inside, first and for-most the doors are really long and almost open 90°. Getting in and out might be a issue as the car is low. There is good amount of storage space at the door pockets but the blinds are manually adjustable, not the case in 6-series which also gets soft door close and missed in 5-series. Infact the skid plates gets M logo. The seats got decent recline angle could be better, the seat quality is fantastic. As we can see there is good amount of knee room and leg room, head room is average. There is hook as well as a handle om both the sides, and there is the light placement at the center. There is also a floor hump at the center with rear AC vents with 4 zone climate control system and USB charging sockets. Here we get magazine holders in the seat back, AC vents on the B pillar as well. Cabin is really very nice and premium too.

Speakers says Harmon cardon. And the rear sun blind has electric adjust from drivers side. Anyways nothing as changed. But we get request sensor on the doors, just put your hand and it will automaticlly unlock. 

Now the seats get electric adjust but the driver gets memory function it can set upto 2 people setting. The controls for windows and and mirrors  are in metallic finish and the door panel also got soft touch plastic, quality of the cabin and material is absolutely phenomenal. This variant gets sport seats being M sport other variants get comfort seats. Being sports seats it is still comfortable, nice bolstering with adjustable under thigh support. The paddle area is also gets metallic finish with a proper dead paddle, with secret storage space and controls for head light of course. Now its got automatic headlights and automatic wipers and a slue of tech you just name it. 

The dashboard design is slightly  tilted towards driver, it got auto-deming IRVM and the sun roof is of decent size but not as big as 6-series. Quality of material is just phenomenal. Round steering wheel with BMW logo in center could have flat bottom but gets electric adjust both for reach as well as for rake. The center we have the gear selector and the side is the I-drive controler with drive mode selector and electic parking brake with auto hold function as well as it got controls for 360° parking camera, park assist with traction control button as well. Every thing is very nicely done. And about storage at the center it got 2 cup holders and a wireless charging pad with USBs and arm rest with more storage inside it with charging options as well. The glove box is on the smaller side and does gets the cooling function. 

You have got touch controls for the climate control, the screen is bigger here now 12.3 inches earlier it was 10 inches, it is super sleek to use, and gets voice commands as well. Infact the speakers are also fabuless and it got gesture controls for volume. It also gets 360° parking camera with a birds eye view which helps us very nicely. There is 11 colored ambient lights available but still the less as Hyundai is giving 64 ambient light color in its Alcazar whoch os half of its money.

The drivers information display shows speedometer in the left and tachometer at the right, in the middle there are various information through which you can toggle through and it says real time furl economy, how much range is left, travel time, maps and what not. 

Engine Department

Powering this car are 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (252PS/350Nm), 2.0-litre diesel (190PS/400Nm), and 3.0-litre diesel (265PS/620Nm) units. All engines come with an 8-speed automatic as standard.

However Globally this car gets and option of 540i which produces more power but is not present in India, as if that was on offer then nobody will move for thr M5.

 

CONCLUSION

This time BMW has focused towards comfort but still very agile around directional changes. Now the price of this car is around 75 lakhs which is decent enough but is 6 lakh Rupees cheaper the 6-series  630i M sport and 10 lakhs cheaper than 530d M sport. 

0-100km/h in 6.2secs which is again quick for a car of this segment, If you are interested to carry 4 people in comfort as well will give you the thrill of having a rear wheel drive as well.

SKODA KUSHAQ | MID SIZE SUV | CRETA RIVAL

  CAR REVIEW

Hello everyone, 

Skoda has launched its all new mid size SUV in Indian market. That named after a Sanskrit word named Kushaq which came from Kushak means KING. This vehicle is derived from Skoda's European platform which further improved from certain places and made it much more suitable for Indian climate. As the European platform was build to last for -50° Celsius which is not at all required for Indian climatic condition and made improvements and brought it to us.

These Vehicle is priced from 10.49 lakh for 1.0 liter petrol and 17.59 lakh for top spec 1.5 liter automatic trim.
 
Let us start with review;

Looks 

EXTERIOR

From the front, this car gets the typical Skoda grill with the Skoda logo just above it, the hood gets bold cuts and creases. Overall front appeal is really good, coming to the lights it got HIDs for the main beam and LED DRL but the indicators and the fog lamp is still halogen, by the way the fog lamp placement in this car is also closer to the headlamps which was suppose to be in the lower part of bumper, however the lower part of bumper got honeycomb sort of treatment and has a very smartly done chrome finish. The middle bumper has a huge plastic part with skid plate sort of treatment lower down. 

From the side it will remind it of its bigger siblings like the Karoq and Kodiaq, but then you realize that it is shorter in length than it rivals. However Skoda being simply clever had putted the longest wheel base in the segment to provide optimum space to the rear seat. Getting closer it gets 17-inch alloy wheels and a 16-inch space saver and steel rimed spare wheel. The alloys do look great and adventures too. The car gets black body side molding all through out with body colored ORVMs and door handles.  Also Skoda is written on the front fender in chrome with some fake vent treatments, huge and functional roof rails finished in silver with shark fin antina. 

Coming at the rear end it looks even more stylish with LED tail lamps but the indicator and reverse lamps are in halogen, integrated rear spoiler with high mounted stop-lamp and wiper washer, a thick chrome line running through the reflectors in the tail gate and the bumper is again finished in black with silver treatment to give the skid plate look. However there is a bit of fake exhaust done on each side of bumper but the actual exhaust lies below with twin ports. At rear it got 4 parking sensors as standard and one reverse parking camera in top spec variants.

 INTERIORS

From inside this car looks absolutely neat with colors. The rear seat got decent space as this car is not as wide as Creta so 3 people might feel bit uncomfortable inside but the floor hump is to minimum so the middle person will get better space to keep his/her legs. But the center passenger does not get head rest, the rear seat is available with 2 headrest and 1 folding arm rest with 2 cup holders, so the center passenger is not so welcome in this car. Meanwhile there is good amount of knee room and leg room with decent under thigh support and headroom is also quite good.The rear seat passengers does get rear AC vents with twin USB chargers and storage space to keep your mobile phone in the sear covers with magazine holders. Doors gets power  window control but there is no more one touch up and down feature available, good storage space for bottles and duel tone finish in black and grey combo.

Being smaller in terms of length, this reflects in its boot space which is 385 liters in space lesser than its rivals, still it got quite big loading lip so putting heavy bags out from here might become a pain in your back. The tool kits are been very cleverly packed in a bag that gets stick with the floor carpet, with first aid kit, boot light, hooks to keep stuff and parcel tray  

Getting inside the front first thing is it got is hue storage spaces for bottles and magazines, key less 

go and push button start, automatic headlamps and wipers, ventilated seats and a big touchscreen infotainment system with android auto and apple car play, glove box gets cooling function but ot could have been bigger at the visors the co-driver gets a mirror but no light and driver side gets only toll recipet holders. At the top it got touch based light controls, controls for sun roof and a fake sun glass holder. The sun roof is quite disappointed as it is not panoromic but of decent size. The dashboard design is super good with black at the top, piano black finish at the center and grey at bottom with hexagonal shaped AC vents at the sides, but all are hard plastics!  

The steering is of new shape which looks incomplete from bottom, however the controls for volume and cruse is of top notch I seriously loved that knurled finishing. At last the AC being single zone is a chiller and at the center it got wireless charging pad with USB ports and an arm rest with storage and 12-volt charging socket. 

 

Powertrain

There to engine options for this car one is the most tried and tested in polo's and rapid's is the 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine with 115PS of power and 178Nm of torque which will get available from the end of this year with some different tuning for this car and another engine is 1.5 liter 4 cylinder turbo petrol engine with 150PS of power and 250Nm of torque great engine but rearly people will buy it.

All this engines are available with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG/6-speed auto. 

No diesel options available as VW group has stopped giving diesels in India.

CONCLUSION

This is a fab car with perfect ride and handling package as the suspension is bit firm so it stays to its line brilliantly with good steering feedback as well.

My verdict; its top rivals are S-cross, Kicks, Creta and Seltos

These is a better all rounder but had missed on features in front of Korean siblings which offers a lot of tech but lags in safety where as Kushaq does feels safe not only as German brand as it got 6-airbags, electronic traction control system with hill start assist and ABS , EBD etc....

In terms of safety you can move with it feels safe but Skoda needs to improve its after sales and service networks to provide peace of mid to its customers. And if you are planing to have one then make sure of service related terms and distance of showrooms from your home as KIA, Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki got big sales and service network through out India where as Nissan got limited number of them so the kicks being a fab product lacks so much in sales

The All New S-Class | Best Or Nothing

 Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, 

Welcome to MotorHunt where this time I had bring the all new next generation S-Class for you.

Mercedes Benz had been launched this new S-Class in European markets and now on 18th of June, it's also launched in INDIA as well. This car is an absolute worth paying machine which gives the At-most comfort to its passengers specially to the back-bench people or good to say is shofer driven. 

In brief the major highlights in this new S-Class is all new lights, new wheels and bumpers, new BS-6 complaint engines, all new interiors with 2 massive screens and adaptive assist features and new steering wheel. 

Dimension wise, it is 5289 meter in wide and 2109 meter in width and 1503 meter in height. 

Price starts from: 2Cr 

LOOKS

Starting with Exteriors

Straight up front it got all new grill with chrome finishing and flying Mercedes star at the hood, front parking camera with 4 parking sensors. Here we have all new adaptive head-light setups with 3 dots all LEDs and eyebrow shaped DRL which by-functions as indicators. Lower part of bumper got lower grill in middle and at middle it got air ducts which are functional that draws in air and throws it to wheels for better aerodynamic efficiency and produce less drag. The adaptive lights are been controlled by the infrared cameras and sensors on the front windshield, what the do is they can sense the road and cars coming in its path, with which if the road is clear then it can throw lights upto more than 600 meters and also adjust low-beam or high-beam on its own.

Coming to the side it is absolutely massive in terms of length with massive 21 inch alloy wheels with Mercedes hub caps. All four door has request sensors and chrome finishing in door handles. It also got puddle lamps under the ORVMs equiped with heating function to prevent fog and also gets cameras on each side for 360° view. The only B pillar has got black treatment, that's all from the side.

 

From the rear it got new designed sleeker tail lamps and a chrome line running through them to enhance the width. In the middle it got the Mercedes logo and S-Class written on the side. Coming lower down again 4 parking sensors with reverse parking camera which juts out from under the chrome strip, new and sleeker reflectors are there, under-neath it has duel exhaust pipes with chrome surround around it.

Meanwhile night package is might available with this product.

From interiors;

This car is super loaded with features, for starters it go Burmeister surround sound system with has 30 speakers (all wired to a 1,750-watt Burmeister audio system), 263 ambient light, panoramic sunroof and voice commands. It also has option to choose interior color as per the choice of costumers. 

 At the rear seats the first thing come to notice are the door trims which got black at the top and dark brown at lower part with piano black finishes, new updated controls for the rear seat with massage function, soft head rest and rear entertainment package with 2 screens and headphones and a center screen for more commands which is also detachable, behind that there is a center arm rest with storage space underneath and cup holders at the center console which again is heated and ventilated, ahead of this there is 4 zone air conditioning controls, along with a refrigerator between the seats.

The seats can be adjusted in multitude ways starting with head rest, recline angle under-thigh support, active side bolsters, lower leg support, massage, heating and cooling function etc etc.   

Coming to the front row, now it gets all new dash with second gen MBUX system  which again is the one of the best system ever i.e. a big vertical screen with lots of features and integrated AC controls. It got 360° parking camera. The screen ends with piano black finishes in the center console that again opens up for provided storage for cups and wireless charger and USB ports. Behind that it got the arm rest with massive storage space and got 12V charging socket with USB ports and CD player as well. 

Well this time Mercedes has given an all new concept of AC vents where the center ones are at the top with 4 ducts and side ones are more sleeker with 2 ducts looks absolutely sexy by the way. Om the side at doors, there is tweeter placement which does rotates while increasing or decreasing volume, give so premium vibes.

About features at the front is it got controls for automatic Head lamps, night vision camera, park assist, lowering options, trunk release button, electric adjust for seats, ventilated and heated seat, as well as heated steering wheel, sun-glass holder, sun-roof controls, frame-less and auto dimming IRVM, interior light controls, twin sun-visors on each side with mirror with light, big bottle holders on doors, Plus, there's greater connectivity for each seat – any passenger can share a media file with another passenger using a drag-and-drop function, and calls can be transferred to a person in a specific seat.

There are two more division to it with AMG and Maybach with added tech, steering and performance.

What Powers The S-Class

Powering the S is the new 3.0 liter, six-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options in different state of tune, The petrol powertrain in S450 produces 367HP and 500Nm of torque where as the S500 makes 435HP and 520Nm of torque. Assisted by a 48-volt of mild hybrid system that can make 22 HP and 250 Nm of torque for a short burst.

The 3.0 liter diesel engine makes 286HP and 600Nm of torque in the S350d  and 330HP and 700Nm of torque in S400d. All models except S350d get 4-matic system, with 9 speed MCT gearbox standerd in all variants.  

Another major highlight in the S is rear axial steering which turns 4.5° in same way of front or opposite way depending on the speed of it, makes it to easily maneuver in tight spaces and make quick lane changes as well. 

In terms of safety department its 10/10 where it got active suspension control, plenty of Airbags, adaptive cruse control with lane keep assist, braking systems with ABS and lot more.

CONCLUSION

This is a fab car if you are planing to have one then you can go for it the only flaw is if you want a drives car which carries passengers in comfort then this is not a car for you as it is not a drivers delight, its more comfort oriented. 

But you are someone who loves seat like a boss in rear bench then S-class awaits you, as it is an amazing package at the rear and the more you pay for it the more you get it as there is and Maybach version also available with more extended wheel base and all that space added for the rear seat people to make it a complete business class limo.

Maruti Suzuki Ignis | The Urban SUV

The product which come under the biggest auto brand in India i.e. Maruti Suzuki, being a Maruti product this has quite a low sales figure in its segment. Well its segment is also not well defined as the lower variants has a price which overlaps the Wagona-R and and celerio, where higher variants are been over-lap by swift and somewhere with Baleno .

It got 4 variants i.e. Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha with a options of manual and a AMT gear box.

Price starts from 4.95 lakhs ex-showroom.

Looks

Starting with exterior,

From front it looks super boxy and has square elements all through out like at the upper grill it got 4 square vents with Suzuki logo at the center and squared head lights with projector setups (in Alpha variant Lower variant gets halogen bulb) with DRLs and indicator in halogen and same with fog lamp too. Lower part of bumper got a plastic skid plate with air vents and number plate holder.

At side look also it looks much better and well designed than Wagona-r, where we have 15' alloys in black and 14' steel rimes with wheel caps and body side cladding which runs through out the car and some on the bonnet. Door handles are finished in body colored and same with ORVMs. The A-pillar and B-pillar are finished in black and C/D pillar has no glass partition, where is in that space this car got an Addidas Logo. However it also got roof rails in grey and radio-antina at the top.

The rear look is somewhere people don't like this car as the rear part is bit disproportionate to the eyes due to the rear wind screen and tail gate design. However at rear we got halogen tail lamps with high mounted stop lamp and rear wiper washer with defogger all this available from delta and zeta variant.

And rear camera present on one side of boot opener. At the lower part of bumper it got dual tone with Black and silver finish, new designed reflectors with 4 reverse parking sensors as standard.

From inside,

This car looks really interesting and with color combination of black and light grey shades circular AC 

vents at sides and horizontal at the center of dashboard with a 7' touch screen infotainment system

Underneath, there is an automatic/ manual AC controls (depends in different variants), with some storage space for phones and has 12 Volt charging socket and USB and AUX port. Interior also has some metallic touches like in door handles and around the gear lever. 

Steering got audio and telephonic controls, and the drivers display got bike like speedometer and tachometer with MID in the right side shows avg. fuel consumption, distance to empty, Trip data and a lot more....

The rear seat space is also quite good in it with decent knee room and leg room and the best part is adjustable head rest which is not available in wagonar or swift base models and in its competition like 

Santro or Grand i10 nios. Seats got 60:40 split format to increases the practicality and door pockets at rear as well.

Power-train

Powering this car is the Maruti's well known 1.2 liter K-series petrol engine produces 83 HP @6000RPM and 113 N-m of torque at 4200RPM. Which is matted to a 5-speed manual and AMT gear box with launch control, 0-100 in just 13.4 secs.

With an average of 15-17 in city and 20 and above in highways depending on the driving conditions. 

Verdict

If you are planning to buy a compact hatchback then you can sort list this car, But if you have requirements of milage,after sales service and resale value then this should be your preference and can be a perfect choice with slight better build quality and stability than wagonar and swift. 

But if your concern is safety then this is not a car for you.

Skoda Octavia | Small Superb At Price of 25.99 Lakhs

 Hello everyone, hope all are doing well in your life.

Recently Skoda launches the 4th Gen of the new Octavia in the India. Trying to put some attention in the sedan market where majority of people are shifting towards SUV. 

Looks

Starting with looks so from the front it got all new LED headlamp setup with DRLs which double-ups as indicators and 2 dots for high beam and low beam with cornering lights and at below the bumper is the fog lamp placement which is also an LED unit. Up-front it got a new grill with vertical slats in piano black finish, SKODA logo at the top.

From the side it looks absolutely similar to new Superb, variant badge at the fender, with that fast back design for Octavia started from Laura is still their. It got new  17 inch alloy wheels  which looks quite overdone to me. Other wise it is elegant and does shows its road presence. 

From rear, their is no SKODA logo which is overtaken by SKODA written with spaces at tail-gate

other then that the lights looks just gorgeous and again reminds us of the Superb. Lower part of bumper got reflectors and no fake exhaust has done to it which is another good thing of this car.

From interiors it got new dashboard design with the new styled 2 spoke steering which will also there in new KUSHAQ. 

Plastic quality inside is good at top half's but the lower one gets harder once you find them. It got power adjust for driver seat and height adjustable seat belts for both the front passengers, it also has a decent size of glove box with ventilated option, wire less charger, gesture controls for touch screen infotainment and interior lights, mirrors in the sun-visor along lights, ambient lights, toll resit holder, cup holders, slider arm rest, air purification, smart climate controls and new designed gear selector etc.

At rear space is good for two adults as their is a hump for the center passenger, but there are two AC vents with USB-C charging port and retractable sun-blinds at windows. However this India spec unit has missed on a sun roof that's a kid of bummer at this price point.

At the trunk area it is the biggest of the segment of 580 liters and can be extended to 1000 liters by folding rear seats. As it is fast back the tail-gate opens with the rear glass which is unique at this price and quite practical as well.

Performance

There is only one power train option available in India. Powering this D-segment car is a 2.0 liter TSI petrol engine which has 190 HP and 320 N-m of torque matted to a 7-speed DSG box it is quite fast with shifts but doesn't hold on to a gear in manual mode but it do got paddle shifters.   

Meanwhile this new generation of Octavia is focused towards comfort so suspensions are soft and chassis is also smoother for a better travel experience, however all this made the car less fun to drive and less connected which was the real highlight of older octavia's.

Safety

Like other modern cars, the Octavia 2021 is also equipped with  tones of safety equipment such 8 airbags, ABS, ESC, EBD, Parktronic sensors, TPMS, iBuzz Fatigue Alert, among others.

D-segment sedan

Hyundai Alkazar | New 7 Seater SUV

 Hyundai the car brand which got the second highest market share in India, is planning to launch its all new product in Sub-Compact SUV segment which is by the way is available for Booking is non other then ALCAZAR.

Its a Sub-Compact SUV, which shared an extended platform of Hyundai Creta by 150mm in terms of wheel base. 

This car is coming with both 6 an 7 seater.

LOOKS

In terms of looks from the front it looks much more muscular as it got a new and bigger grill with chrome inserts with new bumper. The head light setup is completely similar to carry forwarded with fog lamps and indicators.  

 From side it is now longer and all the pillars are now in gloss black where as in creta the C pillar was in grey which gives the car a floating roof treatment complimented with silver roof rails. Another change in the side is the alloys and their size, in terms of design Hyundai nails it as always. Here as we can see the alloys are blacked out at the center and got silver/grey treatment at the ends which do look good in pictures. The Creta use to get a size of R16 where in Alcazar it is R18. Lastly the side ends with integrated side foot step. 

That's not all the rear end is now completely new with new designed tail lamps and reflectors , a thick chrome strip running throw the tail lamps with Alcazar written on it, new bumper with dual port exhaust tips on the right side of bumper. 

INTERIORS 

Coming inside one thing which I noticed is the same dashboard with brown leather finish, it does gives the car a premium appeal for sure.

Other things in dash like, we have a 10 inch touch screen infotainment system with android auto and apple car play, below that there is climate control air condition and storage with wire less charging pad. Now it finally got auto dimming inside rear view mirror, and first in segment fully digital instrumental cluster.

The top variants of it got BOSE audio systems with 8 speakers (which includes speakers, tweeters and sub woofers) makes a superior cabin experience.

ENGINES

Hyundai ALCAZAR comes with four powertrains options, includes 2.0 l Petrol MPi engine and 1.5 l Diesel CRDi engine with options of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions. The 2.0 l Petrol MPi engine with 6-Speed Manual transmission generates 158 PS @ 6500 rpm and 191 Nm of torque @ 4500 RPM, delivers power to conquer with an acceleration of 0 – 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. While 1.5 l Diesel CRDi engine with 6-speed manual as well as 6-speed automatic transmissions generates 115 PS @ 4000 RPM and 250 Nm  of torque at 1500-2750 RPM, and this engine offers the best fuel efficiency.
