Audi e-tron 55 | Easy, Practical & Fast | Electric SUV

Hi guys and welcome to another blog,

Today I'm writing about the all new Audi's electric SUV. The Audi E-Tron.

Lets start with the key, so the key gets 3 buttons for lack, unlock and to open the tail gate of the car, the key gets Audi logo with gloss black and metallic silver treatment

Looks

At the front, there is a fronk means front part of the car with a trunk as it is a electric car. The fronk gets hydraulic strut, and a small storage space for the charger and owners manual. It also gets light and a 12-volt charging socket with no insulation under the hood as its a very silent of a car, It doesn't need it actually.

Anyways the design of these car is the typical Audi affair with a large grill. E-tron written at the front, difficult to read. It got a green color number plate as its a EV. Under the Audi logo is the front parking camera you got front parking sensors and grill is done with a silver finish as well. And lower half of the bumper gets skid plate sort of treatment with small grill to cool the batteries. Meanwhile at the sides their are functional air vents which draws in air to the wheel for more aerodynamics, of course electric cars need to be aerodynamically efficient to save the battery and the range. At the front itself you got the towing hook along with headlamp washer and the lights are supper bright as it happens to be the Audi digital matrix light with LED DRLs with bi-functions as a dynamic swipe indicator again looks supper duper nice at night.

Even when standing still, car looks fast. These car gets 20 inch wheels with yellow colored brake calipers, E-tron written there to. And in both the front fenders it gets the charging ports makes it extremely practical to charge. Meanwhile this car is based on Audi Q5 but is bigger and wider than that means it has more space on offer inside. At lower part there is again gloss black treatment. And it got air suspension, means you can increase it or decrease it if you so wish. This car gets request sensors on all the four doors with puddle lamps and cameras under the ORVM. It also has silver roof rails, black finish on the B-pillar and C-pillar with chrome surround around the window area.

Coming to the rear part the first thing attracts you are the lights, they are really fab in terms of design with dynamic swipe indicators and a long and thin light at the center which connects both the lights. Underneath there is black and silver finish of course to reduce the visual bulk and there is no exhaust still there is such treatment like exhaust at the rear.

Let us open the boot, it gets electric tail gate with a massive boot with plenty of hooks and handles a 12-volt charger and lights. Under it there is the spare wheel which is a space saver and not an alloy to. At rear itself there are buttons to fold the 2nd row of seat into 60:40 ratio.

Getting in the rear seats 1st thing is the doors get hard plastic at the top also in the bottom to with large bottle holders with soft touch at the arm rest on the door along with silver finish at the ambient light placements. These also has manually adjustable Sun blinds with one touch up and down power windows. Seats are good but could have a better recline angle. There are 3 adjustable headrest with a center arm rest along with cup holders and space to keep papers.

At the rear there is no floor hump and the AC vents are at the center and at the B-pillar as well, at the central console it got controls for AC, as of course it got 4 zone climate control. And under is a USB C sockets for charging and seats also gets magazine holders with mobile holder too.

At the front the door gets typical VW switch gears to operate ORVMs, window and for child locks. under it get big bottle holders too with memory function only for the driver seat, Both the front seats got electric adjust. Paddle area is quite neat and is very basic with a dead paddle and all is finished in rubber, but hard plastics are in plenty in this car. And there is a secret storage space for the driver and headlight control at above too. The seats look quite comfortable and they are huge. The overall look of the cabin is really nice other than the fact of hard plastic which are in plenty here which is very disappointment at this price point. The glove box is of decent size with a light and a pen holder too.

At the top you get sun visors with mirrors and lights, there are plenty of lights in this car and are touch sensitive in that regard. There are controls for sun roof of the car which is a panoramic one but of decent size not very big as in the Harrier or the Safari. At the central console you have 2 screens one is for infotainment and other is for climate control with various other functions like down hill assist, heads up display, defogger etc. Gear lever is pretty good to hold and is massive, when you go to reverse it shows the camera view with adaptive guidlines and there is a button for park assist the basic driver assist system with sensors nothing much fancy as such, Nice looking screen for sure with gloss black finish which is a finger print magnet but gets Audi dynamic controls, 30 ambient light options, car details and with a nice map as well. The 360° is just awsome  but shows a car of different color.

This Audi virtual cockpit is even better with all bells and vessels, it shows nice graphics every time while turning on the car. Also you can change the view according to your taste and give the basic information like trip data, range, charge in the battery maps and two dial or one dial options.

Steering looks similar to Hyundai Creta as Hyundai copied Audi not Audi copied Hyundai in that regard. It for electric adjust for the steering and there are stocks for cruise control, wipers and headlights, In terms of storage there is wireless charging pad with 12-volt socket and with USBs with big cup holders and arm rest again with storage in it.

And the overall ambient is really good and the AC vents do remind me of the Tiguan All Space. With a perfume inside it as well.

Performance

Powering this car are two electric motors one at the front and another at the rear with 95 Kwh battery it makes 170 Hp at front axle and 190 Hp at rear,  produces 664 Nm of torque all that comes from 0@RPM and the combine power output is 408 Hp puts the power to all four wheels by the E-Quatro system and makes 0-100 Km/h in 5.7 secs which is again decently quick for an EV. Audi says it has a range of 390 Km to 484 km which is quite good and depending where and how you are driving.

 Conclusion

This Audi E-tron is fantastic in the regard of it can also go to offroading without any hesitation , but it is going to be expensive somewhere around 1.5 - 1.6 Crores or even less. But that's not all you pay extra 20 lakh rupees for RTO registration because this are imported units and the competition of this car is likely with the EQC based on GLC and I-Pace. But my point is the whole future is going to be electric and right now with paying that extra premium makes no sense unless you want to have something different then the crowd.
My point is get a ICE car for now and enjoy it till its life and after that the future is electric and till then there will more competitions with better charging infra as well. Because for me it is not like how fast you go bur how you go fast which matters. My stand with electric car is they are fast and really nice but there is no character.

Thank you so much guys,

There are hot silver finishes in the front that again highlights the overall look of the bike. It gets normal forks at the front suspension with raised up handle bar which provides a straight up riding position. Mirrors are wide enough to give a decent view, still could have been bigger. Yamaha FZ-X Matt Copper Side

It gets a single peace seat with a muscular tank along with Matt and metallic colors. The exhaust pipe is set high up but the middle portion is hidden in the underbelly of the bike which can get damage if you leave tarmac. However it has 165 mm of ground clearance.

The pillion seat comfort is good enough, the pillion also get nice grab handles to hold on to.From the rear this bike will remind you of the Husqverna twins and Honda Navi. Design at the rear could have been better for sure. But you get a LED tail light and indicators again in halogen and with reflectors and light in the number plate holder as well.

Land Rover Defender |Hugely Desirable, Capable, Practical & Fun | Ujjwal Ghosh

Hi guys and welcome to another blog,

Today I had brought the all new Land Rover Defender for you, the car which is hugely impressive has a character, highly capable and muscular road presence. This car will make you look back to it in every given time.

Firstly lets start with the key, this gets a regular Land Rover key, Land Rover written on it and on other side there are 4 buttons for lock/unlock the car, on/off the lights and to release the electric tail gate.

Lets Start with The Walk around

And my Goddness this car looks so freaking tall with that off-road height, it is 2 meters wide, 5 meters long and has a wheel base of 3 meters, this is the defender 110. Under the hood it says Land Rover engineum, hydraulic struts, insulation is there affcourse but the engine bay is not as massive as the car is massive in itself. At the front DEFENDER is written in black with black grill but grill is sleek with Land Rover logo on left side. Lower down it gets skid plate with a camera, 4 front parking sensors and a massive bumper with very small fog lamps. The whole design has done to give it an excellent approach angle, departure angle and take over angle.

Now the only resemblance with the old defender is the round lights, the lights does gets matrix function but in the lower variants its all LED with circular DRL and a 2 dot for indicator. But the design of this car is 10/10. The bonnet gets black plastic treatment on both sides to make us climb on it with a ease.

Before coming to the side let me tell you the size of the tire, these are massive 20 inch wheels with 255 60 / 20 is the size of the tire and the alloy wheel design is also nice they have a mat grey sort of paint. BTW here you could see the wheel arches which are again massive, from here you can see the air suspensions.

The fender from both the sides has fake stuff happening only one side is functional, this is done to maintain symmetry of the car. The car is humongous from the side with that offroad height and with the 3 meters of wheel base, these suppose to be the Defender 110, the defender 90 gets a shorter wheel base with 2 doors on it. Anyways, you get indicators on the ORVMs and the ORVMs get memory function, heated function with a puddle lamp along with a camera too. The roof rails are finished in black and the roof itself can take 300 Kg, that's a lot of weight and there is also a panoramic sun roof for the win.

Meanwhile the A and B pillar along with the D pillar are finished in gloss black but the C pillar is finished in the body color of the car, the window line is also surrounded with gloss black treatment and looks stunning, again at the top you get a shark fin antina which is not just and antina as it got a camera right there, which shows the rear traffic in the IRVM
as the rear has a massive spare wheel hanging, that might block the view from the IRVM, a very well thought of a feature. An interesting thing happens to be this car doesn't stay as connected as its predecessor as this got a monocoque chassis where the previous one's got a body on frame platform.

Coming to the rear, it get a massive tail gate mounted spare wheel, alloy aff-course because if you are in the middle in nowhere then you do need a full size spare wheel, that's what Land Rover believes. Lower down, the rear bumper is finished in grey with skid plate. There itself is the reverse parking camera along with a spray to clean it, there are 4 parking sensors and a handle to open the tail gate of the car. the lights are in square shape, indicators got separate dots same is the case with brake lights too. However from the first go you will not find the rear wiper as it is hidden behind the spare wheel, Land Rover simply loves to hide the wipers

Getting inside the first thing is the boot. Now the tail gate opens side ways which might be a problem in city areas, but the door is light thanks to the hydraulics, the door itself gets some storage space into it, and with the all three rows up there is only 180 liters of boot space available. Meanwhile at the boot itself you got controls for increase or decrease the ride height to put in luggage comfortably, also there is a button which is there for the toughing hook which make the car weighs more than 3 tones, that's again is a lot of weight.

However I feel this car has a useless 3rd row of seats as there is not much knee room or leg room, under thigh support is not a concept there, so children will also avoid to sit there, still you get rear AC vents with blower controls and cup holders along with bottle holders and a 12-volt charging socket.

Lets get in the rear seat, they can be folded in 60:40 option and are also reclining and also slidable, but at this price point I except electric adjust for sure. The door opens wide enough and the door is full of rubber and plastic of good quality, which is suitable for offroad conditions, Climbing inside is not an issue as there is a big grab handle in the B-pillar, meanwhile this car is a charging station with as just behind the driver and co-driver seats there is USB socket along with a holder if you so wish to mount a tablet or an I-[pad, they also gets magazine holders behind each seats.  Good amount of knee room, leg room and under thigh support, head room is also good enough, lot of light is coming in with that huge panoramic sun roof and through the safari windows. There is a light at the top, along with hook and handle on both sides, wood treatment on the door handles too.. At the center there is a adjustable head rest along with an arm rest with cup holders and the good part is the cabin is wide enough and there is no hump at the floor so three people can easily sit at the 2nd row. The center console is massive with AC vents at there, this car got 3 zone climate control but could have got more vents on the B-pillar or at the top. Meanwhile the rear seat is a charging delight, here you got 2, 12-volt charging socket and 2 USB ports, so lots of charging option right there.

Getting to the front row first and for-most there is a request sensors on all the doors for which you need to press a button to unlock the car, it does not opens the door when you put you hand. Then it got push start stop and everything is full of rubber for the long therm durability of the car and you got exposed screws everywhere to make it look rugged. Now you got three memory options for the driver sear with controls to open windows and to adjust mirrors. BTW there is rubber finishing on the floor area to with very less use of carpets only required mats are placed there. You get a 14 way power adjustable driver seat and the auto hold button is placed in an awkward area not in the proper sight of driver.  Now there is a massive central console with 2-USB charging socket and a 12-volt charging socket along with a wireless charging option too. Infact the dashboard is also designed for keeping stuffs along with another USB socket, so lots of charging option in the car, that's not all below the front center arm rest too there is a chiller for your drinks. So in terms of storage and chargers this car gets 10/10 from my side, but the glove box is on the smaller side, I mean the width is good but the depth is low.

At the top you get controls for sun roof, a sun-glass holder along with lights and buttons to call SOS or road side service. The car gets 3 sun visors because you have a option to fit a jump seat at the center in order to take you dogs, which also bi-functions as a arm rest with cup holders. The gear selector and the Air conditioning controls are stick to the dashboard and it is a 2 zone climate control. And also there is controls for different terrain modes, so you got eco pro, comfort mode and the regular offroad mode which has grass, gravel and snow plus there is sand, mud, rug, rock crawl and all these programs, it also has an program known as weight and you can configure it if you so wish. The steering wheels says DEFENDER on it and is a 4 spoke unit with controls on the left to toggle the infotainment screen and on the right for the adaptive cruse control. The steering is too big as per my liking and on the right stocks you have controls for the wiper and on the left side is for the headlights. The car gets ambient lights too. And also has voice commands. The best feature in the car is the IRVM, as all the seats are up you can't see much so just press of a button it will show you the view from the camera at the shark fin antina. The steering gets electric adjust both for reach and rake. And this is a 10 inch instrument clusture which by default shows 2 dials of speedo and tachometer and at the center it got plenty of information including tire pressure monitor, here you can change the layout to get the maps or other info whatever you like. But this is not the fastest system. This has the new infotainment system it is a 10 inch unit, this is fantastic, infact the resolution from the cameras is also great and it gets the birds eye view which does helps when you are in offroads. This car got a 900 mm of water weighting capacity. There is weight assist with slope assist and you can just brows through various system like media, radio, maps, 4G connectivity and has Eco pro which shows your driving style.

Now it gets a meridian sound system which has the highest setting of 700 watts Amazing audio system.

Drive Train

As things stand, the Land Rover Defender is now available with three powertrain options in India. These include a 300hp, 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol (P300) as well as engine as the above mentioned, the 400hp, 3.0-litre, turbo-petrol (P400) and 300hp, 3.0-litre, turbo-diesel engine (D300).

Besides this, Land Rover has also begun accepting bookings for the P400e plug-in hybrid variant which is expected to join the line-up later this year.

Conclusion

Its a great car for offroading duties. If your pocket allows you then go and pick this up. These is a worth paying of a machine.
