MARUTI SUZUKI S-ASSIST

Maruti Suzuki has recently filed a tread mark mark for "S-Assist", a new term to clutch less manual shifts.

Hyundai was the First to give this new features in its cars and then followed by KIA, in cars like Venue Turbo , i20 Turbo  and Sonet Turbo respectively. Hyundai calls it as 'Intelligent Manual Transmission' (IMT).

Basically this IMT system of Hyundai uses an internal sensor which engages and disengages clutch by a hydraulic piston while shifting gears provides very less worn out of clutch plate for long run.

This tech provides us an ease of driving in city traffic condition and fun of driving a manual transmission by eliminating clutch.

It would be interesting when Maruti provides its S-Assist features along with its AGS/manual models or it might debut with a all new product.

But what it will provide to Maruti costumers, it will provide an option of having a pseudo-automatic experience in lesser cost than having a fully automatic transmission.

Also Write down in the comments bellow in which product you want to see this new S-Assist

All these is just speculations at the moment and only time will tell if Maruti will come up with its own clutchless manual transmission.
