TATA SAFARI a name which reminds all Indian hearts the most tough , most liked and the original SUV is back with an all new Land Rover derived platform in its new AVATAR in 2021. Based on Tata Harrier this is an extend product whose front and back is similar to Harrier but from the side it will remind you of Land Rover Discovery, and older GLS from rear angle due to its roof rails.

This big beast is powered by a FIAT source 2.0 l diesel engine which produces 170 HP and 350 N-m of torque. Matted to a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic as well sourced from Hyundai with drive mode selector as well as with different terrain management system. Channels power to front wheels. 

 

As it is an extended version of Harrier it got 2 types of seating arrangement 6 seat and 7 seat option 

either a bench seat or captain seat at the middle row.

One of the best feature of this safari is its huge panoramic sunroof brings in a lot of airiness inside the cabin. 

Meanwhile this car got a kick ass audio system with 4-speakers, 4-tweeters and 1-sub woofer at the trunk area, all are connected to the infotainment system which now got IRA connected car tech with voice commands.

In terms of safety it got 6 air-bags, ABS, EBD, Traction control and a lot of tech for it. However this chassis the OMEGARC is really stable in terms of ride and handling which gives perfect balance of smoother and stiffer ride which takes pot holes easily and is fully stable in highways. 

This SAFARI can do upto 180KM/H  and a 0-100 run in 12 sec. Fuel economy is somewhere around 9-12 KM/L in city and will get extended in highways all depends on your driving style.

In conclusion, this is an all rounder package in terms of price and what it offers. But nothing to say until  XUV 700 which will be launch by the end of this year.

So if you want a 7 seats in comfort and you are in hurry go with Safari or if not then waiting for XUV 700 will worth as it looking very promising.
